MENTAL HEALTH MONTH

October is known as the month of mental health, an integral component of our overall health and quality of life. From Mladinski Center Idrija we don’t forget about it during the rest of the year...

At the end of June we celebrated the International Yoga Day, the first time that we practiced yoga together and thanks to the locals who joined that day not the only one. We continued every Tuesday in July and from now in advance you can join us every week for 1 hour of relax, peace and exercise.

This activity is for all ages. And if not, ask the children from Mala Hiša, at Tolmin. Our international volunteer went last Monday to spend the afternoon with them, practicing some meditation and basic poses of yoga. They even dare to try some acroyoga!

There are many reasons to start practising yoga with the little ones:

  • Improve flexibility
  • Strength and discover our body
  • Stay focused
  • Reduce stress and anxiety

Yoga for children is a wonderful way to instil healthy habits and life skills from an early age. It can also be a fun activity that children can enjoy together with their parents, fostering a healthy and active bond.

We want to encourage you to come with your children to our yoga Tuesdays. Join the next session the 24th of October at 18.00.

And remember, mental health is as important as physical health. Take care of it!!
